Naramata Bench Wine Tours
$79.00 per hour taxes included

This is a private tour that includes up to six passengers. You and I can tailor the tour to your own tastes using your winery wish list and my experience if you like. I have lived and worked on the Naramata Bench for 20 years and doing wine tours for the last 8 years. Much of that time was spent working in vineyards and orchards. Through this work I have developed my reputation with the wineries. It's always a pleasure to take people into a vineyard for a lesson on the grape growing process. I am well versed on the history of the wineries on the bench as well as their varieties and awards.
Wine tours are available Tuesdays through Sunday. More about the wine tours below

Chute Lake Bike Shuttle

The Chute Lake bike and rider shuttle is offered at a fixed rate of $79.00. Typically pick up will be around 8:00 am (but very flexible). The ride down from Chute Lake should then have you arrive at Hillside Winery and Bistro if you like right around lunch time. The ride down is on either level or gradual downhill grade. I have taken both a pair of 7 year old twins and an 80 year old up to enjoy this ride.

Myra Canyon Bike Shuttle

This is typically an 8 hour ride back to Naramata for novice and up. The 18 trestles and trail are either level or gradual downhill grade. Riders usually stop for lunch along the way at The Chute Lake Lodge. With the new ownership and renovations it is becoming common to have people stop and spend the rest of the day at Chute Lake and finish the ride down the next morning.

Wine Tour Details & Options

There are so many excellent wineries in the Naramata Bench area and we would like to show you them all, but these are our anchor wineries. After getting to know what you want to get out of the tour, a few of these will likely be on the list with some additions. The winemaking here is among the best in the Americas.

About Us & Reviews
"Kurt is the absolute king of the Naramata bench. His knowledge about the history of the area, the wine industry, and the local vineyards is unparalleled. He spent 6 hours with my mom and I, driving us to 7 different wineries as well as showing us around the area while sharing anecdotes and stories about the people in the area that make up the history. From the founding of Naramata to the amount of berries the local bears consume, Kurt knows. You can ask him anything and if he doesn't have the answer (which i don't think is possible, the man is a walking encyclopedia) then he will know who to ask. He can make recommendations based on your specific tastes and takes you to hidden gems with an obvious passion and love for sharing the place he calls home. I brought my mother here for her 70th birthday and honestly Kurt made the trip. She was so delighted with him, his personable attitude, easy going nature and wealth of information that she told me that he, not the wineries, was her favourite thing about the trip! I would come back just to share Kurt with others, he was that amazing. He was on time (early!), courteous, kind, had a lovely sense of humour and sincerity about him that I genuinely appreciated. Don't hesitate to book him for a private tour of the area. He is better priced than the tour companies and way, way better value."
